Crying

Crying Babies and Toddlers
Babies
often do what they do best—cry. They cry when they are hungry,
when they are thirsty, when they need a diaper change, when they
just want to be held, and more. The trick for new parents is to
learn the individual cries, and to meet those needs as quickly as
possible.
It is also very important for parents to realize
that there will absolutely be times when your baby will cry and
you will not know what the problem is, or you will not be able to
alleviate the crying even when you do know. This can include crying
due to tummy aches, teething, and more. It is very important to
always try to figure out what is causing the crying so that you
can do whatever you can to fix it. Take her temperature, try to
feed her, rub her tummy and give her some gas medicine, change her
diaper, and anything else you can think of.
While there will be those times that you really
won’t know why your baby is crying, and it is very easy to
get frustrated during these times, they are usually (except with
colicky babies) few and far between. If you ever do get frustrated,
enlist the help of the other parent or another family member, and
just remember that they can’t cry forever.
