Clothes for toddlers
Clothes
for babies and clothes for toddlers have very different requirements.
While you have to dress a newborn according to their skin sensitivity,
and you have to dress a crawling baby according to their knee coverage,
toddlers really don’t have much requirement when it comes
to clothes. The biggest detail that is important for toddlers is
that when you begin potty training them, you will need to put clothes
on them that are easy for them to take off.
Before that point, this is not a necessity. In
fact, it is often the opposite. Once a toddler figures out how to
take his clothes off, they will usually come off at the most inappropriate
times on a regular basis. This is when toddler clothes are best
if they are hard for the baby to take off. This includes clothes
with buttons and zippers in the back, as well as difficult buttons
on jeans.
Other than these details, the only other qualification for clothes
for older babies is that they fit properly, they aren’t long
enough to trip them up when walking, and that they are clothes that
the baby likes. At this age, this is a lot more important than it
might seem, because toddlers like to pick out their clothes, and
if they hate them, it may be a hassle trying to get them dressed
every day.
